Outbound Sales Development Representative

We’re looking for an Outbound SDR to join our fast-growing sales team based in Richmond, Virginia.

Who We Are

Hatch helps Home Improvement and Home Service companies manage their entire customer conversations from pre-sale to post-sale, all in one central place using our business messaging platform.

We do this by automating customer conversations through SMS, email and voicemail drops to help businesses set more appointments, increase their close rates and improve their customer communications.

Our sales team is small but we’ve built a great culture where everyone works together toward a common objective. We are very metrics-driven and hold ourselves to a high level of accountability.

What to Expect

In this role, you will partner with marketing and sales and drive lead generation, appointment setting, and lead qualification through outbound activities.

What You’ll Do:
- Develop and lead outbound campaigns from idea-generation through to qualified meetings
- Build your own sales pipeline in home improvement and home services through cold calling, emailing, and texting.
- Identify your prospects’ business needs and deliver the value of the Hatch platform.

  • Absorb our sales development playbook and be ready to start contacting new prospects 10 business days from the start date
  • Understand our clients - sit in on, and listen to/watch dozens of sales calls to best understand common questions, prospects pain points
  • Become an expert in the Hatch product and the strategies we solve in Home Improvement and Home Services.
  • Become an expert at using lead generation tools and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to routinely extract contacts and create accurate and targeted lists of prospects.
  • Become an expert in our sales process including our Salesforce environment.
  • Identify attributes of high converting leads to generate meetings in partnership with our account executive team
  • Run the Perfect Demo to Sales Leadership

  • Achieve monthly quotas and daily KPIs of a minimum of 50 calls/day
  • Create leads and contacts in Salesforce based on customer conversationsMaster of our outbound sales motion
  • Build your own list of accounts/prospects Build a sales pipeline through outbound prospecting via email, cold calling and LinkedIn.
  • Identify the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) for your list of accounts/prospectsManage and track your pipeline information in Salesforce
  • Know our competition and the industries we’re selling into (pricing, positioning, use cases)

  • Launch and test new outbound lead generation channels and determine how best to scale them
  • Master the outbound cold calling playbook and be able to handle phone objections confidently
  • Established product feedback loop to sales, product, and engineering leadership
