Using Voicemail Drops in Campaigns

Voicemails can be a powerful way to add personalization to your campaigns. In this tutorial, we'll walk through how to add voicemail drops to your campaigns.

Step by Step

Step 1 - Navigate to the Campaigns Page

On the campaigns page, you can see all the Campaigns that were created in the Workspace. You can add voicemails to previously created Campaigns or brand new ones. For this tutorial, let's add a voicemail drop to our Appointment Confirmations campaign. Click the three dots to the right of the Campaign to get to the Campaign Builder.Screen_Shot_2021-06-11_at_5.04.36_PM.png

Step 2 - Select Day.

Within the Campaign Builder, select the day when you'd like to add a voicemail drop.  For this example we're going to add a voicemail to Day 2, which is the day before the scheduled appointment.  This is a great way to get customers to respond if they need to make any last minute changes.

Step 3 - Click the Voicemail icon.

Here you'll see options to "Select what type of message" to add another.  Click on the 3rd circle with the voicemail icon.

After clicking the icon, a new message box appears prompting you to Record a voicemail. You can also see under "Day 2" that there is a voicemail icon on that date showing when this voicemail will be sent.

Step 4 - Update the time

Before recording your voicemail, if you'd like to adjust the time when it will be sent, you can do so now.

Step 5 - Record your voicemail.

Click the "Start Recording" button to record your voicemail.  We recommend leaving this generic for all contacts who will receive it.

For our example a good voicemail could be "Hi there - This is Susan from Wally's Window World. We're excited to see you tomorrow for your appointment. If you need to reschedule for any reason, please call us at 804-123-4566. Thanks!"

Once you're done, click "Stop Recording".  You will see the length of time the message was recorded. You can record a voicemail up to 1 minute in length

At this point you can replay your message to make sure it says what you want. If you'd like to record it again, just click "Record Again".  If you later decide you don't want a voicemail drop at all, just click "Remove".

Step 6 - Update Campaign

Don't forget to click the Update Campaign button in the bottom right after recording your voicemail so you don't lose it!
