Hatch recently hosted a live webinar exploring how Voice AI is reshaping customer communication. The session featured Hatch team members Steven Knollmeyer (Product Marketing Manager), Kristen McCormick (Head of Marketing), Brandy Jackson (Growth Manager), and Chris Wren (Product Manager).

From real customer success stories to a live demo of “Grace,” one of our AI voice agents, the team shared how businesses are saving time, increasing bookings, and delivering a better customer experience through Voice AI.

 

Why Voice AI — and Why Now

Voice AI has quickly evolved from an experimental idea to a daily operational tool. Various businesses — HVAC, plumbing, roofing, remodeling, and more — are seeing measurable returns by automating inbound calls, lead qualification, and appointment scheduling.

The Live Demo: Meet Grace, Your AI CSR

During the webinar, Brandy walked attendees through a live demonstration of her AI agent, Grace, showing exactly how Voice AI works behind the scenes.

The Sales Board View

Grace manages customer conversations from Inbox to Sold to Customer Service — automatically updating each contact’s status based on call outcomes. Every call includes a recording and transcript, giving full visibility into every customer interaction.

Building the Bot

Using the Hatch platform, Brandy showed how easy it is to set up an AI agent:

  • Persona: Name your bot, choose a voice, and set a spam-call filter.

  • Knowledge Base: Upload FAQs, service details, and business info (auto-scraped from your website).

  • Decision Tree: Define triggers, greetings, and logic for how the bot handles calls — from qualifying leads to scheduling appointments.

Two Live Scenarios

  1. Outside Service Area — Grace detected a non-serviceable area and automatically transferred the call to a team member with a short whisper note.

  2. Full Booking Flow — Grace handled a complete service booking: diagnosing the issue, confirming address details, and scheduling an appointment, all while maintaining a natural, human tone.

What’s Next for Hatch Voice AI

Chris from our product team gave a peek into what’s coming next:

  • Expanded CRM and scheduling integrations, including even deeper ServiceTitan functionality.

  • Outbound Voice AI for proactive customer engagement (currently in active development).

  • Multichannel context sharing, allowing SMS, Email, and Voice AI to communicate seamlessly.

  • Multilingual support, including dynamic language switching for English and Spanish.

Audience Q&A Highlights

How does the bot handle unclear speech or background noise?
Hatch Voice AI continues to improve its ability to isolate noise and validate key information before saving it to your CRM.

Will Voice AI talk to SMS and Email AI?
Full conversational syncing is on the roadmap. Currently, AI agents share information through dispositions and CRM updates.

Can Voice AI make outbound calls?
Not yet, but outbound calling is in active development with beta testing planned soon.

How long is onboarding?
Most onboarding processes take around four weeks, depending on your setup and integrations. 

Can Voice AI book appointments?
Yes. Voice AI can either collect customer details for a callback or fully schedule through integrations like ServiceTitan.

Can it replace a call center?
For many customers, yes. Voice AI can handle full call center workflows, manage after-hours overflow, and scale without additional staff.

Can it route calls based on staff schedules or emergencies?
Yes. You can set logic in the decision tree to route calls by time of day, department, or urgency.
